Yarun Ephemera

Explore a fleeting visual arts exhibition at the Bribie Island Community Arts Centre.

Ephemeral literally means ‘lasting for only a short time’.

Artists from a variety of specialist areas including painting and ceramics have been invited to step out of their comfort zone to create an ephemeral sculpture using natural materials to celebrate the intricate beauty of Bribie Island.

There are many forms of ephemeral art but the term is usually used to describe an artwork that only occurs once. This exhibition will celebrate the natural resources of Bribie and link the viewer to Bribie country in a way that you may not have experienced before.

Artists are currently busy creating sculptures from a range of materials including grasses, rocks, soil, leaves, branches and flowers to be installed at The Labryinth Bribie Island Community Arts Centre. The exhibition is free of charge and will be open for viewing each day throughout the festival.
